Why I became a physical therapist…
Most PT’s I know have some experience in which they were injured in high school or college and they had to have physical therapy in order to recover from their injury and they discovered they really wanted to become a physical therapist.
I don’t have this story. I actually got injured quite a few times as a kid and never once did the physician send me to physical therapy (they should have! 🤦🏻♀️).
In fact, my first experience as a patient in physical therapy didn’t happen until I went to PT school and I was in my 30’s. I actually found this extremely irritating as I could have continued to enjoy several different activities as a kid and teen had I gotten to physical therapy.
So I’m on a mission to help as many people as I can to get back to thriving in their life and not just surviving. What activity lights you up and makes you happy? And do you have any challenges in participating in your activity? Comment below.
